What are your ear­li­est mem­o­ries relat­ed to art?
I drew a poster , with all the class in 3 grade. My poster won and it was placed in all win­dows in Arling­ton busi­ness Dad had a file of pen­cil draw­ings from WW11 I was amazed what a pen­cil and paper
How and when did you start becom­ing an artist yourself?
Maybe it was about 30 years ago I was com­mis­sioned to do a west­er scene. Gen­tle­man had seen art work ion East Tex­ad Gfsit
What was the evo­lu­tion like toward find­ing your cur­rent voice and visu­al vocabulary?
Free style. Whether oil acrylic water­col­or. What ever the scene that attracts me. Love to mix colors
What is your process like?
Watch­ing sun­sets look­ing at videos. Try­ing new ventures
Is there any­thing from your artist state­ment that you wish to expound on, that you nor­mal­ly don’t have the chance to discuss?
I have nev­er shown my work. Every­one says oh how pret­ty. All I see is mistakes
What do you try to con­trol in your sur­faces, and what do you leave to chance?
I like to try (now) to paint leav­ing an neg­a­tive space
Where do you see your work going from here?
I do not know. I would like to sell some so I can paint more lol
