Top Rated Frame Shop In Tyler, Texas

Love these girls and this gallery. Beautiful art and creative framing.
Beautiful
Tracy was so kind & helpful! The frame & glass on my old picture broke in a move. I was on a budget, so I wanted to leave the old matting and just get a new frame and glass. I also wanted the frame to match my plantation blinds. These photos do not do justice to how great it actually turned out. In person it is much more fabulous & takes me right to a serene beachfront when I look at it!I highly recommend Gold Leaf Gallery for all your framing needs. Shop locally owned and operated when possible!
They repaired a family picture that had been damaged in a move. They replaced the bubble glass that had been broken and repaired 2 cracks in the photo. They did a excellent job and it went way above my expections. I will definitely bring the other photos in when possible. They also replaced the backing on the back of the photo. Total professional job. Could not be more pleased. Recommend them as a topnotch business for ur needs.
The BEST frame shop in East Texas!
Traci did a fantastic job helping me with a picture frame for my Samsung “the frame” TV. It really does look like a piece of art! Highly recommend Gold Leaf!
To my review readers, please know that each and every review for my business here is authentic and genuine over the past decade since google began taking reviews. Each reviewer has either been a real customer or an actual patron who has visited the gallery in person. Gold Leaf Gallery is celebrating 50 years of exceptional custom framing business in Tyler and East Texas! We do not use a review company to post fake reviews; instead, we enjoy the honesty and integrity of our customers present and future.
I have had several pieces framed here and have loved every piece they framed! They do beautiful work.
What are some of the most caring, professional and talent driven words you can think of? That would not be enough to describe Tracy, Debbie and Gold Leaf Gallery. They are truly the best in the industry (and I don’t mean just Tyler). If you want someone to trust with your priceless paintings, photographs and really-anything, you can trust these things with them.If you can dream of it framed-they can make your dreams come true! ❤️ Perfection all the way.
They were so helpful! I had no idea what I was doing when I walked in and they were so kind and patient with me.
Gold Leaf Gallery did an exceptional job on framing my painting. I would highly recommend them and will use them in the future. They are very professional and friendly in helping you create the perfect presentation for your artwork.
Gold Leaf Gallery has a very artist friendly atmosphere! They carry diverse work and have framed several projects for me that needed a special touch. Contemporary or traditional- they can help with your framing or purchase of a piece of art!
Gold leaf is the most underrated Art Dealing, Art Framing and Art Restoration business in EAST TEXAS.I’ve personally used the incredible team at Gold Leaf on more than several occasions, they have absolutely exceeded expectations every time.I still can’t fathom why people would go to Dallas or even farther when their is Top Tier talent, Professional Craftsmanship, Knowledgeable, Genuine Owners and Remarkable Results. Their commitment to Quality and matching your vision with their knowledge leads to Perfection, well as close as you can get to it every time.I’ve even taken a very expensive painting that was damaged to them and within two months, had a gorgeous, personally in my opinion better than before restored and repaired painting.I can’t share anymore good about Gold Leaf in this post for fear of it seeming to good to be true… well… it isn’t.Go see for yourself and let the results and your delight speak for itself.Highly Recommend.
Very impressive selection of various types of artwork and a broad selection of frames to choose from. These women are fantastic.
Enjoyed this art gallery. There is a wide range to choose from and the owner was very helpful.
These turned out amazing! Tracy is always helpful and takes care of you. If you go somewhere else to have framing done in Tyler, Tx, you’re making a mistake!!!!
Helpful. Wonderful service and selection of product
This is where I take all my photos and artwork to get framed. Traci has such a good eye for color and design.
Gold Leaf Gallery is the best frame shop in East Texas! They have a great selection of quality frames, and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Be sure to check-out their occasional events, too! 🙂
Ive known these girls for a long time and I’m hear to say there is nobody in the business in E.Texas that can compare to their quality and professionalism. Truly the best in E. Texas. Their bright and cheerful attitude and smile make it an utter joy to walk in the shop. The GLG has been an established business in Tyler since 1975 with an excellent 5star customer satisfaction rating. Thx for the many years of great work girls. Yours Truly T. L.
These two sisters are the most professional, talented women in this industry. I don’t think there is anything that Debbie cannot do, from framing, calligraphy and shadow boxing! I will always cherish the memory of my daughter opening up her Christmas present to her favorite painting that was done by Gold Leaf Gallery. They are like part of the family, thanks again!
Excellent service. Stentorian needs of the customer. Finished frame work is always beautiful!
Just earned my Bachelor’s degree and only wanted the best to frame it. Gold Leaf does a beautiful job! I won’t go anywhere else!
I’ve had them frame everything from convert posters and finger paintings to oil paintings and every time it turns out fantastic. They take the time to talk with me and figure out the perfect combination of frame and backing and glass to work with my art in the space it will hang and within my budget. They even set me up with and extremely talented guy to come hang some tricky artwork in my home. There is no one else in tyler that will take better care of your framing needs. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
Wonderful shop. These two ladies are so artistic and talented. My order was perfect!
Had a problem with the frame and Tracey and Debbie resolved the issue and got our picture back to us way ahead of the expected time. We are pleased.
Recently I have had the pleasure of working with Traci and Debbie. They are two of the most professional business owners I have met. They are both extremely pleasant and personable. The success of GL Gallery reflects the wisdom, experience, and expertise they have acquired from a long history of working in the art gallery/framing/customer service industry. I am proud to know them both; and I highly recommend them for your art and framing needs!
Traci was wonderful to work with. She found and worked with an artist to make a special one of a kind painting. The result I could not be more happy with!
We have had several pictures framed by Gold Leaf and have more that need to be done. Have been very happy with the product and friendly customer service.
They do an amazing beautiful job on whatever you need framed. I had jobs done by them when I lived in Tyler now we live in the DFW area and still prefer having all of my paintings framed at Gold Leaf in Tyler. They are so knowledgeable which makes getting the perfect framing job done easily.Thank you, Gold Leaf Gallery Gerry Hicks
Amazing work!!
Debbie & Traci are extremely talented! Their skill elevates every piece that they frame. Traci is able to accommodate a variety of styles. There is a massive difference between craft store framing and Gold Leaf framing, it’s worth it!
A big variety of frame art with a huge collection to get your customized frame for paintings etc.
The best in the business. Professional and always executed with class! No one else compares.
Debbie framed my diplomas for me over 20 years ago. They still look perfect. If you want something done right, take it to Gold Leaf Gallery!
Great people! Beautiful art
As a picture framer myself for 20 years working for a very large wholesale shop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I know all of the ins and outs of quality framing. Are largest client was Merrill Chase Galleries out of Chicago. We framed art for many galleries across the Midwest on a weekly basis and we had exceptionally high standards. Quality picture framing has so many variables. Types of mats, glass, backing, mat reveal, how a piece is hinged or mounted. A piece that is framed correctly will last a very long time. I have come to know the owners at Gold Leaf since I moved to Tyler in 2009 and have used them for some of my own pieces and have seen the same quality I myself am accustomed to. I will accept no less since this is what I myself provided all those years in Milwaukee. Aside from their quality work, it has always been a pleasure working with Traci and her sister Deborah. I continue to work with them often and will continue. I definitely recommend them for your framing. They have also been doing it a long time, and when it comes to framing, you definitely want someone with experience handing your treasures.
This is the place to find a large range of high quality art right in the heart of Tyler, Texas! Whether you are local or out of town be sure to make this your destination stop. Not only will you find amazing art, but the custom framing is right on point!
I had a very particular issue with some portraits that are very important to me and I came into the store for a quote. I told the ladies I would think about it and they understood because of the size of the portraits and the detail that would be involved. Most businesses would have stopped there, but their passion for helping people and preserving art came through when they gave me a recommendation that did not involve their store. I was so impressed with their customer service, I went back to them and asked them to help me complete the project and they did an amazing job. The ladies at Gold Leaf Art Gallery love what they do and it shows in how they treat people. Highly recommend!! — 5 star Service!
Absolutely wonderful place! So friendly and personable. Excellent work! Beautiful shop. This was our second time working with them and we couldn’t be happier. Definitely THE place to get framing done.
Knowledgeable staff, features varying works of art. Very helpful!

We try to make the experience as easy and pleasant as possible. Usually, we encourage clients to give as much input as possible – what you expect from the piece, what you prefer in style, etc ( for example where you expect to hang it – does it need to be larger than it is – what kind of protection will it need ). Our role is to guide and teach what is necessary to protect and preserve your artwork. We will provide you with options that suit your personal aesthetic and provide you with choices that also fit your budget.

Artwork is framed not only to preserve the canvas but also to enhance it, typically artwork isn’t usually complete until it has been framed. Let’s take Charles Willson Peale’s Trompe‑l’oeil Stairway. This artwork consists of two young men ascending a staircase. What makes the artwork amazing is the way it is framed – like an actual doorway with an actual step at the bottom.

The resulting effect is the transformation of the artwork into an illusion in which one believes they can pass through the artwork into another world. Imagine taking a photo with this artwork, you would put one foot on the step and proceed as if you are climbing up as well.

Classical artwork was framed to create the transition from the physical location into the world of the painting. It completes and protects the artwork while adding value. With years of experience, you can count on us to expertly frame your picture exactly the way you want it.

Though our quality is higher than other frame shops, the short answer is NO.

To elaborate: Our prices are standardized and are at the national average. We are proud to say that as a result of our purchasing power, we can actually offer very competitive pricing. The products we sell are considered the best in the market. For example, we do NOT sell plastic or foam base frames that visually are the same but are obviously a lower quality product.

Additionally, we purchase from manufacturers who are environmentally responsible. That said, frame shops who consider themselves our competitors will say they are “cheaper” when in fact they are offering less for less. Our frame shop services are offered at a very competitive price and our work is guaranteed. We know that is unique.

Conservation Framing involves three things – not altering the artwork, it must be reversible and must preserve and protect the artwork from damaging elements.

In many cases, yes. Sadly, in some cases, a frame can’t be repaired. We need to see the frame and actually manipulate it to understand its integrity to make that decision. Photos help but are not enough to make a sound decision. We kindly ask that you come to our frame shop for us to make that final decision. However, changing out glass or matting is usually relatively easy – as long as the frame is sound – meaning the corners are strong enough to withstand being taken apart and being rebuilt.

These are meant to preserve your artwork long term. They are truly the best investment for your artwork or family heirloom.

In most cases, we are happy to help. Our system allows us to put in basic dimensions and products. We consider this a starting point and we will always encourage you to come in or if it’s difficult for you to get in, to have your art sent to us for evaluation. Obviously, we need to see the artwork and measure it to be certain of specific details, so a quote is simply an estimate that may have to be revised if new information is obtained.

We do realize that our clients may shop at competitors and be looking for a cost-effective solution. Our experience in these matters has been twofold. Either the end result is not the exact same product and materials that we offer, or the quality of work is not up to our high standards.

We welcome competition but stand by the high standards that our frame shop has set for ourselves. We will also not reduce our prices just to undercut our competition. We respect our clients and our vendors as well as the pricing structures we have in place. They are fair and our work will follow suit.

YES! We can customize just about any frame we have in store to any custom size to fit your needs.

Our standard turnaround may be between 2–3 weeks. We have a great system in place which allows us to track all of our projects, which, by the way, are all completed in house.

Some of our moldings are hand made and do require gold leaf or welding (steel or other metals) which may delay times. We have an amazing team of partners who work with us, and because of this extended work, these types of jobs may require between 4–6 weeks to final completion.

Due to the nature of our work, most being fully custom framing, we do require full payment at the point of sale.

We partner with a variety of companies that can handle the delivery and even installation if needed.

Over the years, we have surrounded ourselves with some of the best paper, fabric, and art (canvas or panel) conservators. We will be happy to assess your art in our frame shop and we can facilitate restoration services.

Paper isn’t always flat. In many cases, for example with watercolors, the paper has received excessive moisture and has most likely buckled. Photography, vintage or modern, also has moisture either from having been put into a bath (old style of photo developing) or inkjet surface spray (new style.) In the above-mentioned cases, the ambient temperature will reactivate that moisture much like heat and moisture reactivate the curl in hair that has been straightened. Once art is framed, it can react to ambient temperature, especially in excessive heat or cold, and cause the art to actually move. This is typical and should not be a concern.
